Seasonal Program: Pre-Easter Period | designed for: Preschool Children and Primary School Students
maximum number of participants: 15–20 | program duration: 30–45 minutes
admission: 30 CZK per student (free for accompanying teachers)
An educational program focused on ancient traditions and customs practiced during the pre-Easter and Easter period in both farm households and poorer homes. Children will learn about Easter symbolism, seasonal household activities, and traditional foods. They will also be introduced to magical figures integral to this festive time. Activities include hands-on experiences typical for the Easter season.
The program is offered exclusively during the pre-Easter period and takes place in the last surviving farmhouse in Vlčnov. This unique building features a two-story storage chamber, black kitchen, and thatched roof, which were still common in this region at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. This valuable example of rural architecture provides visitors with insight into the now-lost way of life of rural villagers in Moravian Slovakia.
